How do I slow my coach down, hear a word again, or practice repeating?

Every Hebrew conversation includes built-in listening tools so you never feel lost when your coach speaks at natural Israeli speed.

Tap any word in your coach's reply

Tap any Hebrew word in a message from your coach to open a small menu:

• Hear it again: plays just that word or sentence in your coach's voice.
• Translate: shows the English meaning, pronunciation in English letters, and vowel marks from the app's lexicon.

Slow your coach's voice down

1. In Talk, tap the ⋯ options icon in the top-right corner.
2. Under Audio, adjust the playback speed down to `0.75x` (or faster if you want a challenge).

Say it after me

When you want to practice repeating a Hebrew sentence out loud:

1. Tap Hear the sentence to listen closely, or Say it after me to record yourself repeating it.
2. Tap Stop and check.
3. Verbalta shows which Hebrew words came through clearly and which ones came through differently, so you can try again right away.
