If your microphone won't start recording or you can't hear Noam, Ayala, Yarden, Eitan, or Oren, here are the quickest fixes.
If the microphone won't turn on
- Check the address bar in your browser (Safari, Chrome, or Edge) for a microphone or lock icon.
- Make sure Microphone is set to Allow for `app.verbalta.com`.
- On iPhone or iPad, also check Settings > Safari > Microphone (or Settings > Apps > Safari) and make sure microphone access is allowed.
- Refresh the page and tap the microphone button again.
If you can't hear your coach's voice
- Tap Play under the message: if your browser blocked automatic playback before you interacted with the page, tap the Play button right under your coach's Hebrew line.
- Check Silent Mode on iPhone: flip the side ring/silent switch or turn up your media volume. Connecting AirPods or headphones bypasses the silent switch immediately.
- Hebrew speech taking a short break: if you see a message that Hebrew practice is taking a short break, the voice service is temporarily updating. Your progress and setup are saved, and you can try again in a moment.
