Free trial and subscriptions

How do the free trial and paid plans work for Hebrew?

Every Hebrew account starts with a 20-minute free trial (no card needed) shared across Modern and Biblical Hebrew, and one subscription covers both.

Updated

Hebrew uses the same transparent plans and free trial as the rest of Verbalta, and one subscription covers both Modern Hebrew and the Biblical Hebrew Studio.

The 20-minute free trial

  • No credit card required. You start practicing right away and only pay if you choose a plan later.
  • Shared across Modern and Biblical Hebrew. Switching between Modern Hebrew in Talk and the Biblical Hebrew Studio in Study uses the same trial and never resets it.
  • What counts toward your minutes: in Modern Hebrew, only the seconds you spend recording your own voice count (never your coach's replies). In the Biblical Hebrew Studio, active AI coaching counts: spoken tutor questions, translation checks, and reading aloud (typed tutor questions count as a flat 30 seconds).
  • What is always free: passive reading in the Biblical Hebrew Studio (reading chapters, tapping words for roots and forms, viewing full analysis, commentary, and reviewing saved words) does not use your speaking minutes.

When you subscribe in Account > Plan and billing, your weekly allowance covers both Modern Hebrew conversations and active coaching in the Biblical Hebrew Studio. You can switch between monthly and yearly billing or cancel anytime from Account > Plan and billing.
